SANNAD SHREEF

Sannad Shreef (Doha, 1990) is a visual artist and activist who grew up in his father’s studio. His work focuses on drawing, portraiture, and the emotional power of the human gaze, a craft he defends as a vital necessity in the face of institutional criticism. Recipient of the Cultures of Resistance award, he promotes children’s creative potential through his project “Artist of the Future.” After consolidating his career with his first solo exhibition in 2022 and exhibiting in Germany and Spain, he was forced to flee the war in Sudan in 2023, a conflict in which he lost most of his previous work. He currently lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya.
